[1] Overview |
In the TargetRX Atlas database, the data is carefully organized into two main categories. The first category includes drugs that specifically target mRNA to effectively combat associated diseases. The second category focuses on mRNA-associated diseases, indicating potential drugs that could be screened based on the mRNA's role in the disease pathogenesis. The database currently contains 3806 scientific publications that pertain to mRNA-associated diseases and drugs, offering comprehensive details for each entry. These details include information about the mRNA, drug, and disease, supplemented by metadata such as the title, PubMed ID, journal, and publication date. Notably, the database includes entries that cover 2014 human genes, 1196 drugs, and 689 human diseases, ensuring a broad and detailed coverage of relevant biomedical information. [2] BrowseOn the Browse page, users can search for information in TargetRX Atlas in three ways: by mRNA name, drug name, and disease name. They can then enter into the list of matching entries. Additionally, TargetRX Atlas differentiates data in the Evidence section: the validated category refers to experimentally verified associations between mRNAs, drugs, and diseases; the predicted category includes mRNAs that may act as potential targets for treating diseases, allowing researchers to follow up on their findings. As shown in Figure 2, please click on 'Disease Type' and select 'Glioma'. The browsing results will be displayed in the right panel (Figure 2A), click 'more details' to see detailed information (Figure 2B).

[3] SearchOn the Search page, we provide four windows that allow users to find the information they need by using mRNA, drug, and disease names. At the same time, TargetRX Atlas offers a fuzzy search function to enhance the user's experience. The ‘Search’ page is displayed in Figure 3. Please select the window of interest to search, click to enter the search window, and enter the mRNA of interest to search.

[4] DownloadAll the data in the TargetRX Atlas database can be downloaded and provides TXT and Excel as two formats of downloadable files.The detailed data include: title, journal, publication date, PMID, gene name, gene ID, disease name, drug name, drug ID, RNA detection method, specific experimental method, tissue used in the experiment, RNA expression level, and RNA-related pathways.
